Shubman Gill appeared to be in significant pain and required nearly 20 minutes of medical attention before returning to the nets for throwdowns. An official notification regarding the severity of the injury is anticipated. Gill’s absence from the opening ODI, which is scheduled for September 27, has not yet been confirmed.

India is preparing for the three-match ODI series against the West Indies. The squad is led by Shubman Gill, with Ravindra Jadeja serving as the vice-captain. The captain’s leadership during the preparation phase has been commended by bowling coach Morne Morkel.
