Shafali Verma, the opener for India, has risen two positions to No. 4 in the T20I batting rankings as a result of his exceptional performance in the format.

Shafali Verma batsmanship was further demonstrated in the Asian Games quarterfinal against Japan, where she scored 40 not out and followed it up with an unbeaten 49-ball 100 in the semi-final against Bangladesh, following her scores of 64 and 68 in the semi-final and final of the Asia Cup, respectively. She achieved her first white-ball century in international cricket, and she also became the first woman to score a hundred at the Asian Games.

She also contributed to India’s second consecutive Asian Games gold in women’s cricket by scoring 48 in a blistering opening partnership alongside Smriti Mandhana. Beth Mooney, Georgia Voll, and Laura Wolvaardt maintained their respective positions as the top three.

Shafali Verma surpassed Mandhana and Hayley Matthews of the West Indies to secure a spot in the top four of the rankings, earning 756 points.

Shawaal Zulfiqar, a Pakistani batsman, increased his career-best points tally to 558, propelling him into the top 30 of the T20I batting rankings. Zulfiqar scored 54 points in the semi-final of the Asian Games against Sri Lanka, while her teammate Ayesha Zafar, who scored 71 points in the same match, advanced 31 positions to 40th with a career-best of 489 points. Zafar also advanced nine positions to 30th in the T20I all-rounder rankings.

The top positions in the T20I bowling rankings were maintained by the spin duo of N Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma from India. Both players achieved career-best point totals, advancing 15 and 22 positions, respectively, as a result of their recent impressive performances. Fatima Sana, the captain of Pakistan, advanced five positions to 24th on the bowlers’ list.
